OnlySalvage ("we", "us", or "our") operates the OnlySalvage marketplace, where private sellers and dealers list salvage and rebuilt vehicles for sale. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
When you create an account, we collect your username, email address, phone number (optional), and location (city, state, zip code) so buyers can find listings near them. When you list a vehicle, we collect the vehicle's details and any photos or documents (such as Carfax, alignment, or inspection reports) you choose to upload. We also automatically collect basic usage data, like pages visited and general device information, to help us maintain and improve the site.
We use your information to operate the marketplace: creating and displaying your public seller profile, connecting buyers and sellers, processing listings, calculating distance-based search results, and sending you account-related emails such as password resets. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Your username, city and state, profile photo, business name (if you're a dealer), and any listings or reviews you've posted are visible to other users. Your phone number is only revealed to a buyer if they choose to reveal it, and your email address is private by default -- you can choose to make it visible on your public profile from your account settings.
We use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your session. If you're not logged in, your watchlist (liked listings) is stored in your browser's local storage instead of our servers. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and secure password storage. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
You can update or correct your profile information at any time from your account settings. You can deactivate your account from your profile page, or contact us to request deletion of your data.
OnlySalvage is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
