How to leave a review
Ratings are left by real buyers from their own account -- one review per buyer per seller, and sellers can't review themselves, so what you see reflects real experience.
Visit the seller's profile page.
Click "Leave a Review."
Choose a star rating and write a comment.
Submit -- you can only review a seller once.
How to buy a car
From your first search to picking up the keys -- here's the typical path from browsing to buying on OnlySalvage.
Search inventory using filters for make, model, price, and location.
Compare your shortlist side by side to weigh price, mileage, and condition.
Schedule a test drive with the seller once you've narrowed it down.
Go through the Buyer's Checklist before you commit, so nothing gets missed.
Bulk Upload
From Sell > Bulk Upload, dealers can add many vehicles at once from a spreadsheet. Each row becomes a draft to review and publish individually.
Go to Sell > Bulk Upload.
Download the CSV template.
Fill in one row per vehicle and upload the file.
Review the imported drafts, add photos, and publish each one.
How to sell a car, step by step
The full flow from VIN to published listing, start to finish.
Go to Sell and enter your VIN -- year, make, model, and engine fill in automatically.
Add clear photos of the car (exterior, interior, and any damage).
Set your price and add a description.
Publish it -- or save it as a draft to finish later.
Manage it anytime: mark it Pending or Sold, pause it, or renew it to stay at the top of search results.
Reset your password
Go to the login page and click "Forgot password?" -- we'll email you a reset link.
Go to the login page.
Click "Forgot password?"
Check your email for a reset link.
Set a new password and log in.
Right-click a listing for quick actions
Right-click any listing card to open it in a new tab, copy its link, add it to Compare or your Watchlist, contact the seller, or report it -- without opening the listing first.
Go to InventoryCompare vehicles side by side
Add a few listings to Compare (from the card menu or a listing page) and view them together to weigh price, mileage, and specs at a glance.
Go to CompareYour watchlist tracks availability
Tap the heart icon on any listing card to save it -- logged in, it's kept in your account's Watchlist so you can find it from any device; logged out, it's saved to this browser instead. Either way, a car is automatically removed if it sells or is taken down, and reappears on its own if it becomes available again.
Go to Liked CarsSort by distance
Enter your zip code (or allow location access) in the inventory filters to sort listings by how far away they are.
Go to InventoryRecommendations improve as you browse
The Recommended section on the home page and inventory page learns from what you search for and view -- the more you use it, the better it gets.
Go to InventoryWhat "Featured" means
Featured listings are cars an admin has chosen to highlight on the homepage for a limited time. It doesn't affect the listing's price or condition -- just its visibility.
Go to HomeContact a seller directly
Open the listing and use the "Contact the Seller" card to reveal their phone number with one click, or view their profile to see their other listings and reviews.
Go to InventoryYour own listings stand out while browsing
Wherever you see one of your own listings mixed in with search results -- inventory, your profile, anywhere -- it's outlined with a highlighted border so you can spot it at a glance.
Drafts save your progress
Start a listing and leave whenever you want -- once you save it once, it's kept in your profile's Drafts tab so you can finish it later.
Go to SellEditing or managing a listing you've already published
Open your listing and click "Edit Listing" to update details, reorder photos, or change its status -- or right-click it from any card (your profile, inventory, anywhere) for the same actions as a shortcut: mark it Available, Pending, or Sold, publish/unpublish it, edit it, or delete it, all without opening the edit page.
Pause instead of delete
Turn off "Published" on the edit page to hide a listing everywhere except your own profile (shown with an Inactive badge). Turn it back on anytime -- nothing is lost.
Renew to bump your listing back up
Once a live listing is at least 7 days old, renew it from its Actions section to move it back to the top of search results -- up to 3 times.
VIN auto-fill
Enter a VIN when starting a listing and the year, make, model, and engine details fill in automatically.
Go to SellSelling as a dealer
Mark your account as a dealer/business from your profile settings. Dealer accounts show a "Dealer" badge on their listings and profile, and unlock CSV bulk upload.
Go to SettingsYour phone number stays private
Only your area code shows by default on a listing -- the full number stays hidden until a buyer chooses to reveal it.
Go to SettingsGet verified
Request seller verification from Settings to earn a verification badge that helps buyers trust your listings.
Go to SettingsManage your inventory with the API
Verified sellers get instant API access from Settings > API Access -- generate a token and manage your listings programmatically. See the API docs for details.
